Sketch Itinerary:
Day 01 : Arrive Delhi & sightseeing
Arrive at Delhi airport and transfer to hotel. Later leave for sightseeing of Delhi covering Raj Ghat – the memorial at the site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated, Jama Mosque – the largest Mosque in India and the Red Fort – Once the most opulent fort and palace of the Mughal Empire. Afternoon sightseeing of Akshardham temple including Exhibition and colourful musical water show. Overnight stay.
Day 02 : Delhi sightseeing
Morning tour of New Delhi covering Humayun’s Tomb, Lotus Temple, the Qutab Minar, drive along the ceremonial avenue – Rajpath, past the imposing India Gate, Parliament House and President’s Residence and end the tour with a drive through Diplomatic Enclave. Afternoon free for shopping in Delhi local market. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03 : Delhi – Agra ( 200 kms/ 4 hrs) Taj Mahal closed on Friday.
Morning after breakfast, drive to Agra. On arrival check in at the hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Agra city visiting the impressive Agra Fort, the local bazaar. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 04 : Taj Mahal sightseeing
Early morning visit World famous Taj Mahal during sun rise. The most perfect architectural monument is one of the seven wonders of the world and this beautiful mausoleum in pure white marble, took 22 years and 22,000 craftsmen to build it. This monument was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved consort Mumtaz Mahal. After fresh en up and breakfast visit Sikandrara – the tomb of Mughal Emperor Akbar. Later visit Tomb of I’timād-ud-Daulah known as Baby Taj. The tomb of I’timād-ud-Daulah is often regarded as a draft of the Taj Mahal. Overnight stay.
Day 05 : Agra – Fatehpur sikri – Jaipur (235 kms/ 5 hrs)
Morning drive to Jaipur enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri -the deserted, sandstone city that was built by Emperor Akbar as his capital and palace in the 16th century. Also visit the Bulund Darwaza the largest gateway in the world.
Continue the drive to Jaipur and on arrival check in to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 06 : Jaipur sightseeing
Morning visit Amber Fort, is one that cannot be easily described. Ride up on Elephants to the former capital of the royals set against the backdrop of the wooded hills. Afternoon visit the Palace of Winds also known as Hawa Mahal, this elaborate building, now little more than a façade, is encrusted with delicate screens and carved balconies from which the royal ladies, confined to their quarters, could sneak views of the outside world. Past, present and future merge at Jai Singh’s observatory, where time has been accurately measured since the 17th century. Evening visit Chokhi Dhani for Rajasthani Theme evening including VEGETARIAN SIT DOWN (ON THE FLOOR) DINNER (optional with additional cost). Return to hotel for overnight at hotel.
Day 07 : Jaipur departure
Morning free for shopping and later transfer to airport to board the flight for onward journey
